Shyama S. Parikh – Esq.
Thank you for visiting my website. Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a solo practitioner in Waukegan, Illinois. I obtained my major in Psychology from DePaul University, with minors in Spanish and Communications. I then joined DePaul University College of Law and graduated with a Certificate in Family Law.
During my legal career, I have been employed by Schiff, Hardin & Waite, The Public Guardian of Cook County, Rosenfeld, Rotenber, Haffrom & Shapiro, The Law office of Brigitte Bell as well as Shaw & Foley, LLC. I then became a partner at Fraser, Youra & Parikh, LLC, before opening Shyama S. Parikh, P.C. in downtown Waukegan.
I have almost exclusively practiced Family law my entire career and have successfully represented families in Divorce cases, Custody matters, Adoptions, Child Support issues as well as many other family law issues. In addition to being an Attorney, I am also a Court approved Arbitrator, Mediator, Child Representative and Guardian ad Litem.
I am also very active in the legal community and recently completed my term as the President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County. I am also a member of the Seminar Planning committee for the Family Law Section of the Lake County Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Lake County Lawyer Referral Service.
I strongly believe in giving back to society and volunteer as a Teen Court Judge for the Northern Illinois Center for Alcohol and Substance Abuse (NICASA), serve on the Teen Court Advisory Board and also serve on the Board of Directors for the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).
I am also a frequent guest speaker at the College of Lake County, Lake County Family Law Seminars, the YWCA, Lilac Tree and various other organizations that I am a part of.
I am proud of my East Indian roots and upbringing. I believe this has empowered me to deal with issues related to Family law more effectively.
I look forward to meeting with you, discussing the particulars of your case and potentially representing you.
Ana T. Reyes
I attended Robert Morris University and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I began my Legal career as an Intern with Daniels, Long and Pinsel in downtown Waukegan until I came across the opportunity to work for Shyama in 2009.
I have primarily worked on issues related to Family Law for approximately four years and enjoy it very much. My duties include communicating regularly with opposing counsel, Court clerks, Process Servers and Private Investigators. I attend court on a daily basis and help clients complete various documents and legal paperwork. We have a sizeable Spanish speaking clientele for whom I also serve as a translator.
I serve as a first point of contact for our current and prospective clients. I am usually the individual that can update you on important dates, the status of your case, scheduling an appointment with Shyama and anything else necessary to keep you apprised of your family law matter. I am committed to my responsibilities at Shyama S. Parikh, PC and enjoy assisting anyone that needs help.
